Chemical Engineering

Department of chemical engineering , established with UG programme in 1986, possess healthy infrastructure to meet at the requirement of AICTE to offer UG, PG and programmes. The present ststus of faculty (total 10 including 02 TEQIP Faculty) is excellent in terms of qualifications experience and publications.Nine out of ten faculty are holding PhDin chemical engineering featuring specialization in diversified areas of Chemical Engineering and Environmental Engineering. All sort of laboratories like Environmental Engineering, Mass Transfer, Heat Transfer, Fluid Mechanics, Chemical reaction engineering, Fluid particle Mechanics, Biotechnology,Fuel Technology , Chemical Technology Petroleum Processing and Computer Lab etc are well equipped and operational to the best of satisfaction of stake holders especially to present intake of 60 in Chemical Engineering. The postgraduate programme i.e.M.Tech. in Chemical Engineering Specialization in Environmental Management Commenced from 2002 with intake of 25 . The Environmental Engineering lab has Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy, Gas Chromatography and other sophisticated instrumentation in its credit. The passout of chemical engineering are well placed in INDIA and Aboard.
